There is something so magical about having a cave wedding! Better yet, having a cave wedding in December. That is exactly what Jack and Daisy did. After looking through our location lists, they decided to have a cave wedding in Iceland.
This blog post features the adventurous and charming couple that said their I do’s in an epic cave location. This cave can be hired privately for special events, allowing you to have a very private and intimate setting.
Starting in late September, the daylight hours in Iceland decrease drastically. It isn’t until mid March, when we have longer daylight hours. The beauty of getting married at this cave is that you can get married early in the morning while it is still dark outside, therefore allowing you more hours of the day to explore other locations on your wedding day.
Jack and Daisy originally reached out to our team in April of 2022. They wanted to have a winter wedding in 2023. The bride and groom decided on an early date in December, allowing them 20 months to plan every detail.
Wedding Planning
Iceland Weddings and Honeymoons helped the couple with the following items:
Iceland Ceremony Location
Iceland Wedding Celebrant
Iceland Wedding Photographer
Transportation on the wedding day
Marriage License Support
Cave Wedding Ceremony
The couple were picked up from the Stracta Hotel on their wedding day. Their day would then end at the fabulous Panorama Glass Lodge where they would celebrate the start of their happily ever after together.
The cave the couple chose is a man made cave said to be made in the late 9th century. Making this cave wedding very historic and special.
They decided to have a Pagan ceremony inside of the cave. A Pagan ceremony involves an oath ring and a rams horn. Once the couple has said their “I do’s” and tied the knot they then proceed to drink from the rams horn. Interested in more Pagan weddings featured on our blog? Wedding Day
After their wedding ceremony, the newlyweds and their photographer ventured to other exciting near by locations including a gorgeous waterfall.

Jack and Daisy were even graced with seeing the Icelandic horses.
